ATC provides a variety of educational credit offerings.  Information on the various offerings is listed below.  


Overview


The ATC is the joint meeting of the American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS) and the American Society of Transplantation (AST).  ATC provides a forum for exchange of new scientific and clinical information relevant to solid organ and tissue transplantation and brings together transplant physicians, scientists, nurses, organ procurement personnel, pharmacists, allied health professionals and other transplant professionals. The educational offerings provide attendees the opportunity to learn cutting-edge advances in research and exchange of ideas and practice in the field of solid organ and tissue transplantation.

As the accredited provider for this activity, ASTS remains strongly committed to providing the best available evidence-based clinical information to participants of this educational activity and requires an open disclosure of any relevant financial relationships with commercial interests that create a conflict of interest. It is not the intent of ASTS to disqualify anyone from participating in this educational activity, but to resolve any conflicts of interest that may arise from financial relationships with commercial interests. All conflicts of interest are reviewed by the ASTS CME Committee to ensure that such situations are properly evaluated and, if necessary, resolved. ASTS educational standards pertaining to conflict of interest are intended to maintain the professional autonomy of the clinical experts inherent in promoting a balanced presentation of science. Through our review process, all ASTS CME activities are ensured of independent, objective, scientifically balanced presentations of information. CME


This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the American Society of Transplant Surgeons and the American Society of Transplantation.  The American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.  Final credit hours are subject to change and will be provided on-site.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.


MOC


ATC will offer American Board of Surgery (ABS), American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) credits to learners again this year. Information on credit hours will be available in early 2019.

Satisfactory Completion 


Learners must complete an evaluation form to receive a certificate of completion. Your chosen sessions must be attended in their entirety.  Partial credit of individual sessions is not available. If you are seeking continuing education credit for a specialty not listed below, it is your responsibility to contact your licensing/certification board to determine course eligibility for your licensing/certification requirement.  


Nurses & Pharmacists


In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Amedco LLC and the American Society of Transplant Surgeons.  Amedco LLC is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Credit Designation Statement – Amedco LLC designates this live activity for a maximum of 34.50 contact hours for nurses and 25.25 knowledge-based contact hours for pharmacists. Learners should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. NOTE: Pharmacists must complete the online evaluation and enter their NABP # and Date of Birth by July 16, 2017 to receive pharmacy credit through CPE Monitor.

 


Transplant Coordinators


Before approval:  Category 1 Continuing Education Points for Transplant Coordinators (CEPTCs) have been applied for through the American Board for Transplant Certification (ABTC).
